In 2019, under the organisation of the New Zealand China Education Development Association (NZCEDA), a group of 26 people from MBS School in New Zealand participated in the Discovering China Programme and established a friendship association with Jinyuan School at Xi'an, agreeing to have regularly mutual visits. However, the pandemic disrupted this reunion. After the pandemic, Jinyuan School organised a group of 27 teachers and students to visit the beautiful New Zealand and MBS School in 2024. The school from China brought three cultural performances to the New Zealand children, and the students engaged in friendly exchanges. The principal and teachers of Jinyuan School, led by the principal of MBS, toured the school, and the principals and teachers from both sides engaged in a dialogue on educational philosophies, exchanging insights into the similarities and differences between the education systems of the two countries.
